cute_tshirt.jpgI just spent my lunchbreak taking a bunch of captures showing a few recent handheld emulation projects in action. Unfortunately the overall quality is positively crappy, but I couldn't do much better with what was at hand (i.e. the worst picture/movie-taking cellphone ever). So until I can get myself a real camera, and for what it's worth, here is some new media for the curious minds amongst you. Videos are in ".3gp" format, which Quicktime and Media Player Classic should be able to read with the appropriate codecs. Absolutely no direct links please. Use the newspost's permalink instead.

Pictures:
DS - The newest SFC emu on DS: still an early version, but very encouraging
DS - The game selection screen is still quite raw
DS - Dracula XX on the upper screen
PSP - Now, about the PSP - these icons/backgrounds are homemade
PSP - PCE, NES, MSX and Master System emulators on a 32MB memory stick
PSP - "fMSX for PSP" is a blessing for the fans
PSP - Most emus have a very complete menu embedded (here PCEP)
PSP - Final Match Tennis (the blur effect is from the cellphone's camera, not the PSP)
PSP - Power Blade... the NES emu is top notch, very few glitches
PSP - The PSP's insane screen allows emus to offer a hell lot of display options
PSP - Finally, SD Snatcher's (translated) introduction, with the keyboard display mode

Movie clips:
DS - Kiki Kaikai (a.k.a. Pocky'n'Rocky) on a dual screen Super Famicom
PSP - Metal Gear on fMSX - much better than the NES version
PSP - SD Snatcher on fMSX (part 1)
PSP - SD Snatcher on fMSX (part 2)
PSP - SD Snatcher on fMSX (part 3)
PSP - Power Blade - Taito ruled the NES in the early nineties

Thanks to A.R. (nice homemade Taito shirt) and C.P. (unfortunate cameraman) for their help.
