offthewall_pic1.pngNekofan got updated with an article (in french) on Tengen's never released Off The Wall for PC Engine. Tengen's only released game for PCE is Klax, and Off the Wall is part of a handful of titles that were canned when Tengen switched to making games for the CD-ROM upgrade, then decided to stop developing games for NEC hardware altogether instead. There are interesting pieces of information in the article, such as how Tengen used its Atari-manufactured Eproms instead of NEC's (Tengen was owned by Atari) or that respected 8-bit era programmer Jun Amanai (Magical Puzzle Popils, Gauntlet Legends, original Klax) worked on the game as lead programer. There are also several videos to be found at the bottom of the article.
