screw.jpg The american website for Screw Breaker is now open with a simple flash animation and the confirmation Game Freak's new game will be released there by the end of 2005. On the japanese website, the creators of Quincy (Famicom) and Pulseman (Megadrive) finally explained the purpose of the password room hidden in the practice stage. It's pretty tricky, as first you have to unlock the password menu before entering the real codes hidden somewhere on this page to unlock the game's last secrets. Meanwhile, NTSC-uk has a nice translation of Screw Breaker's menus on their website, in case you were lost with all those crazy hiragana characters. They forgot to include the translation of one tricky puzzle in the game that requires to read some basic japanese but I am in a good mood (and wrote it down while playing) so here it is:
[spoiler, highlight to read]You need to open a huge safe at some point in the stage 2-2. Three locks keep it shut and you must find memos written by the guards to open the safe with the correct combination for each lock. The figures mean the number of full rotations you must perform.
Red lock: 2 to the right, 4 to the left
Blue lock: 5 to the left, 3 to the right
Green lock: 6 to the left, 1 to the right, 12 to the left[/spoiler!]
