gunnerh.jpg Doujin news ahoy. EGS, the blokes behind the popular Read or Die doujin brawler ElePaper Action, are developing another very promising game: Gunners Heart, an obvious homage and unofficial sequel to Pixel Arts/SCEI's SkyGunner. Like its inspiration, Gunners Heart will be a cute flight simulator filled with arcade-spirited tweaks, such as items inspired by the Parodius series and a simple three button control. There will also be a two player mode, and an artist going by the moniker Cycle is responsible for the artwork - he admits to being a fan of SkyGunner in his bio, unsurprisingly. The game will be made available at Comiket 69 (december 30).

Meanwhile DNA, which is known for Moedan and last summer's Master Burner, announced that the full version of their new game Mawaru Maid-San wo Nemigi will not be ready for Comiket 69 - contrary to what the Comiket 68 demo (which you can now download here) previously announced.

Chinchilla SoftHouse just released a GameBoy Advance version of their doujin game Ayu Ayu Panic, originally released on the PC doujin scene in August 2000. Their most recent PC game is last october's PreCure-Act. There are some videos for that one here.

In other news, Circle Papillon released a demo of their upcoming love sim Akegata. The developers claim to cleverly mix adventure games' and visual novels' gameplay styles, depending on how you want to move through the story. Another promising SLG, Spectral Chain, now has its third test version available for download. And the ic-covered Mimipan and Sispri Gauntlet both have new patches to download on their respective webpages. Finally, and in case you missed them on Doujinaroni, here are neat recent freeware gamess to download:
Shadow Arts (v0.85)
Ever Nights (v0.51)
V-Side
Tears of Vanadies
