In spite of some reports (or maybe because of them?) claiming that Cave's recent game Ibara is one of the less popular arcade games ever from the company (seems that the auto-adjusting difficulty feature is too wicked to keep the fans inserting coins), a revision of this title is being developed currently, according to Try PCB shop. Subtitled 'Black Label', much like the special version of Dai-Ou-Jou in its day (which has become one of most expensive items in the second-hand PCB market), it will be made in very limited quantities and is expected to fix some of the gameplay 'issues' the first version had. It is unknown if it will have something in common with the forthcoming Arrange Mode of PS2 Ibara, now that it's quite likely the latter is being developed by Cave themselves. Scheduled for this spring. By the way, Ibara also has a soundtrack CD plus figures set coming soon.
