Thanks to the redoubtable Mr Apol for bringing this one to my attention: Hot Air is a Flash game that takes the fan elements from Lemmings 2 and transplants them into a super-cute candy shell right out of Yoshi's Island for some puzzle-action funage. Everything either has a frowny face, a smiley face or is covered in spikes, and you have to make use of careful gusts of wind to get to your goal without bursting. I'm really impressed with the effort that's been put into this: the music is awesome C64-aping chip tunes, there are lots of levels, time attacks and unlockables. Like Apol says: "prepare not to do anything else for a while."
Brandon's note: The game was made by a company called Nitrome, who have a lot of other nice little games as well, which you may want to check out - the C64 aural aesthetic pervades through all their titles. They're currently working on Hot Air 2, not surprisingly, but you may want to check out Feed Me, which has you playing as a venus flytrap, or psuedo Gish clone Scribble. None of these games are amazingly original, but they are pleasant diversions.
