After being unveiled at E3, and then suddenly not allowed to talk about, Odin Sphere has had the veil truly lifted in Famitsu (through early leaked copies). For those who don't know, this is the spiritual successor to the gorgeous Princess Crown for the Saturn, which done some 10 years ago, and recently re-released on PSP in japan. Odin Sphere will follow in the same horizontally scrolling 2D action RPG vein, with highly detailed backgrounds and animation. The game is headed by jouji kamitani, with h. sakimoto on soundtrack duty, and you can see a youtube video (with no sound!?) right here. Looks fantastic. Mr. soejima, of Stella Deus and Persona 3 fame is doing the illustrations, and scans are floating around if you have the desire to seek them out. Thanks to recap's post for most of this info.
