News: Shiren the Wanderer mobile multiplayer (kinda) in beta

screenshot of Fūrai no Shiren GOLD LIVEDwango, the company behind Tales of Eternia Online, is making a new Shiren the Wanderer mobile game which will allow people to watch while you play (spectator mode). I guess they’re showing their roguelike roots; nethack players have done this for years at alt.nethack.org. Viewers can also communicate through messages and examine the inventory of players.

The new game will be distributed as a pair of applications: Fushigi no Dungeon Fūrai no Shiren GOLD LIVE.ver is the main game, and costs 315 yen per month; Fūrai no Shiren LIVE TV is the viewer, and is free during beta. They’re currently looking for testers, so if you’re in Japan, try it out!
