Youtube: Sonic X-Treme Nights version

Assembler has uploaded a video of the 'Nights' version of Sonic X-Treme. This was done by the American team (STI), using the engine from Nights (there's some disagreement over this). But when the guys in Japan found out their engine was being used, they got upset and scrapped the project. Then the 'fish eye' version was born (see wikipedia for more info). This video comes from the only known video of the original Nights version for Saturn, which apparently sold for $3,000 in 2006. Apparently the music is also in-game (though reportedly not unique to this game).
