News: Electronic Game Show 2007

The fifth annual Electronic Game Show took place this past weekend in Ciudad, Mexico. I wasn’t actually aware that such a trade show existed, which is pretty foolish because what more obvious venue could there be to objectify the female body. One astute observer summarized last year’s show: mas chicas egs 2006 wow.

Aside from the apparently low occurrence of moustaches at the event, the biggest surprise out of EGS ’07 was famed luchadore El Hijo del Santo’s participation in a round of FIFA 2008. In doing so, he replaced Brandon Sheffield as the most stylish man to hold an Xbox 360 controller.

<Brandon's note:> ic's Guillermo is actually at the show, so we'll get a small report later on. Unlike this post's author, Joel, I was fully aware both that EGS existed (and has for three or so years, in both Mexico and Brazil), and that not all Mexicans have mustaches. Only the fancy ones.
