Cave’s latest press release announced that their two new games, Do Don Pachi Dai-Fukkatsu and Pirates of Gappori, will be fully playable at AOU Expo 2008, February 15-16. This Do Don Pachi’s subtitle means “big revival.” So, there we go. Meanwhile, Pirates of Gappori is described as a “medal gun shooting game.” Judging by Japanese arcade terminology, that means it’s probably a light gun shooter with prize redemption features. Or booty, as it were. That actually sounds pretty exciting, though I suppose the odds of playing it outside of Japan are slim.
<Brandon's note:> Medal shooting game could also mean the type of game where you actually shoot coins at a pile of coins on a platform to try to knock more off. You never know! Update: It is in fact the latter type of game.
