In a rare brush with awesomeness, Sega has archived basic information about its legacy consoles on the Japanese site. That's not the neat part - the really nice thing is that they've archived Joy Joy News, Sega's Japanese Sega MArk III and Master System newsletter, which ran from 1986-1988. The old art is awesome, and the screens are charming. Well worth a browse, and make sure to note that you can get the second half of the issues by clicking number 13~23 on the top.
