News: Bubble Bobble designer dies

I'm going through my (admittedly very lengthy) backlog, and wanted to make sure everyone know that Fukio MTJ Mitsuji, designer of Bubble Bobble, passed away in January. According to Armchair Arcade, he had kidney failure, suffered a heart attack, and entered a coma before he died. Not so great. Other games he was responsible for included:

Land Sea Air Squad
Rainbow Islands - the story of Bubble Bobble
Storming Party
Syvalion
Volfied

That first link was to his design blog and online design school. Wonder if one can still purchase his courses? Might be an interesting thing to translate and preserve for posterity.
