Video footage...a big FOUR minutes of it! This is a must download video. Please note that the music is taken entirely from Panzer Dragoon Saga...which is NOT the music which we heard in the headphones during demo gameplay at E3. Lots of neat stuff in this video, nonetheless, including... Azel? You'll just have to check it out.

Morning came and evening followed...and no Ikaruga. The May 30th date which NCSX stood by is not marked by a release of a fine Treasure shooter, unfortunately. Known as Project RS-2, Treasure denied that a Dreamcast port of the Naomi game was in the works, though suppliers to NCSX maintained that it would come out at the end of May. Come on, Treasure! Us fans can only survive on Radiant Silvergun and Bangai-O for so long...

The US video game industry's big trade show, E3, is not even 100 hours away. While many are looking forward to the visions of the future soon to be presented, in the hours leading up to E3, we will be looking at some older, less appreciated games which carry a place in our heart to this day. Vincent takes a look at the extremely rare "psychic action" game, Psychic Killer Taroumaru...

News: Xbox follows suit

It's finally happened. Now with Xbox follwing PS2's lead in the pricing game, all three current generation consoles are at the $199 mark in the US. The Japanese price takes a similar tumble, from 34,800 yen to 24,800 yen, or about $271 to $193 USD. It seems that Sony made a good move in dropping the PS2 price one week before E3, forcing Microsoft to do similarly and keeping E3 from being headlined by pricedrops. It's entirely possible that Nintendo would want to keep some sort of price advantage, however. How much of an advantage and when they'll execute it is anybody's guess...

News: PS2 Price Plummets!

Early today, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced a $100 price drop for the PS2 console, bringing it down to an affordable $199. Furthermore, they have cut the price of the Psone in half; the price is now $49. In addition to this, memory cards and dualshock controllers have been dropped by $10. This is an amazingly aggressive strategy by Sony, perhaps prompted by X-box's increased sales in Europe after Microsoft's desperate price drop.

Stylish carrying cases - every handheld system has to have one, and now the GP32 does too. You can wear this odd-looking thing on your wrist, or *ahem*…as a purse apparently. Hmmm…I think they might have a tough time marketing that one in America. Korean gaming site Ruliweb has posted shots of a fellow who dares to accessorize. (as a purse).

Gamepark will indeed be making it to E3 this year, as opposed to their previous no-show. They seem to have slid in right under the deadline, as I checked the official site not less than a week ago, and they were not included. As a result of this, you can expect full E3 GP32 coverage at Insertcredit.com!

Runs With Scissors recently released new info regarding their upcoming sequel to the PC FPS 'Postal', shockingly titled 'Postal 2'. Apparently it is to star America's bad-boy Gary Coleman…I wonder if you'll have to constantly shoot up, or will enemies be similarly miniaturized? If not, I expect there will be a lot of groin shots. The game will utilize the Unreal Tournament engine combined with their own Liquid Software. Postal 2 is slated for release in the US this fall.

This is a bit bizarre... Sammy has just released an Initial D "command based" racing game for the GBA. Essentially, you input commands at crucial points in the race, much like a choose your own adventure. While this might add drama, I'm not sure what kind of racing game that would make, especially with two players! However, the first 6000 buyers did get some nice extras. Check out some shots and the site to see for yourself.

Several files claiming to be backups of Xbox games have been released into the underground scene. The group ProjectX claims that these backups will currently only play in Xbox developer units... until appropriate modchips are released. From the .nfo file: "...now that there is a release, a modchip developer will be inclined to get our releases to work, so we think a future mod will work with this release." Please don't direct any questions to us regarding this matter, as we have no further information to deliver at this time...
