As much fun as it has been to use the PlayGround for planning and requests, I've set up the main page discussion just for that purpose.
The factual stuff is pretty self-explanatory. On the theory end, however, things are a little murkier: is this wiki supposed to be a repository of the conclusions we reach in the forum, or would this be more an extension of the fora, such that we might debate the merits of various notions on the pages that put forth those notions?
Basically, I think I'm saying I'd like for Discussion, or Talk: pages to be added in the near future. Or should we have a dedicated wiki-wide Discussion page? Or should we just continue using the Playground as a sort of amorphous discussion board? 1)
Oh snap! The president has been kidnapped by ninjas! Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?
You don't say?
Well then, I'll jackoff anyways.
But the proper terminology is “have a good wank regardless.”
…is “have a good breakdance regardless.”
Do we have a page for suggestions? For, say, pooling thoughts and plans that might extend beyond one user's capability to implement? If we DID have such a page, I'd use it to recommend some way for users to change their randomly generated password. 2)
===I don't think you can!===
Is it possible for our user names to become actual wiki pages as well? They'd be great for out-loud thoughts, or contact details.
I don't see why you couldn't create a page for your username (and possibly a user directory page if such a thing is not automatically generated). — Legato B 2005/09/28 04:20
Brandon says we're trying to implement some of this stuff, people (Vince, Lawrence) are looking into it.
Q: Is there a way to make a local image link? See the end of verisimilitude, where it seems it would make more sense to upload that image locally, but I'm not sure of the code for that.
A: When editing a page you can click the image button, and choose or upload an image.
Followup: I wasn't clear enough - I know how to upload an image, but I'd like to know how to make a text link TO that local, already uploaded image, instead of displaying it with as with the curly brackets (see the Doctor Who text in the example above).
